Digital health consultant
Chris Mitchell is a rural general practitioner and rural generalist with more than 30 years of practice in northern New South Wales. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
He was President of the RACGP (2012-2014) and led the Adoption, Benefits and Change team at the National eHealth Transition Authority (NEHTA). His consulting work includes engagements with Telstra Health and roles across digital health policy and implementation.
Chris was appointed Member of the Order of Australia in 2013 for his contributions to general practice. He advises iaso health on digital health strategy, eHealth implementation and GP sector engagement.
He is the author of GPs as Directors, a guide for general practitioners stepping into board and director roles.
