Dr Ann-Mary Amber
Dr Ann-Mary Amber is a highly qualified medical professional with a diverse range of qualifications and experiences. She completed her general nursing training at Gosford District Hospital in 1984, gaining valuable experience in hospitals, private nursing and palliative care. Driven by a passion for holistic healing, she furthered her education and became a qualified Naturopath from Nature Care College in Sydney (1996) and later completed a certificate in female sexual health with NSW Family Planning (1998).
In 2021, Ann-Mary achieved a significant milestone by obtaining a Bachelor of Medical Science (MD) from the University of Newcastle.
Throughout her career, Ann-Mary has showcased her expertise in holistic therapies and managed successful Nutritional Medical Centres in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. Her centres offered a wide range of services, focusing on integrative and complementary treatments. She has also excelled in various professional consulting roles, actively contributing to the development of guidelines for the safe and effective use of integrative therapies and providing practical advice and support to emerging clinics.
In addition to her clinical work, Ann-Mary has been actively involved in medical education and professional development. Since 1999, she has been a presenter and Education Committee member for the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM), where she has contributed to the advancement of knowledge and skills in the field. In 2007, she took on the role of Education Coordinator, utilising her skills as an integrative medicine program coordinator, group facilitator, and lecturer.
Ann-Mary’s commitment to advancing healthcare extends beyond national borders. Together with her former husband, she has travelled extensively, supporting the development of integrative medical programs and colleges in Thailand, Malaysia, and India.
Passion, commitment and experience are central to Ann-Mary’s approach to healthcare. She understands the complexity of health from a medical perspective and combines this with her extensive experience with patient care.
